“I am absolutely amazed at God’s love and power,” says Nia Davenport. “He has gone to amazing lengths to turn my life around. As a survivor of childhood trauma, which was totally out of my control, I spent most of my life trying to regain control. I pursued a life that was driven but unfulfilled, eventually leading me in a downward spiral to clinical depression.

“I was in deep, debilitating emotional pain, and faced seemingly insurmountable obstacles. I thought that I was useless to God, because I didn’t feel very spiritual or lovable. But He still had a purpose for my life, and He gently encouraged me to read the Bible and to bring my struggles to Him in prayer. It was then that I began a journey to discovering the freedom of intimacy with Him. As I learned to trust Him as a compassionate Father, I invited Him to invade, love, and heal every hurting and broken place inside of me.

“And He did!

“Now, I share all my joys, celebrations, sorrows, and frustrations with the One who knows me best and loves me most. Jesus is truly my Hero, my Knight, my Love. With each new challenge He gives me a new strength, a new peace, and a new hope. I now have the awesome assurance that there are no obstacles big enough to thwart His plans for my life. I am here to bear fruit for Him.”
